Volunteer

Help adults gain practice speaking English by leading them in a small group discussion.  You do not need special training to volunteer for a conversation group.  Your own proficiency in speaking English, with pronunciation that is (or sounds) native, will allow others to learn by listening and practicing.  English practice groups meet once a week, usually for an hour.

English Practice @ Conversation Corner

To volunteer, complete the English Practice Volunteer Registration Form and return it to our office by email, mail, or fax.  Volunteers must apply and receive confirmation before joining a group, and should be available to assist with most meetings in a series (e.g., 8-10 weeks) or as arranged with the group organizer.  This is not an ESOL course, and is not suitable for people needing to observe or provide instruction.
