Volunteer @ Conversation Corner

Who can become a Conversation Corner volunteer?

Any adult (18 years or older) with a high school diploma or GED certificate and transportation can become a volunteer.

What do Conversation Corner volunteers do?

Conversation Corner groups meet once a week and are offered at select branches a few times each year. Each group has one volunteer organizer who is in charge and a few volunteers who lead discussions with small groups of English language learners. Conversation Corner volunteers do not need to speak their students’ native languages.

We are currently recruiting volunteers for our English Practice @ Conversation Corner groups at New Tampa Regional Library and SouthShore Regional Library, and for a new group at Bruton Memorial Library.
